Los Angeles Unified continues to maintain the highest standard of safety measures at schools in alignment with CDC and LA County Department of Public Health guidelines. Below are brief descriptions of the key components of the program, as well as additional resources. For more information visit:

Los Angeles Unified is implementing a “response testing” protocol during the 2022-2023 school year using at-home rapid antigen tests. Testing is only required for those experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or those who have been in close contact with a person who has tested positive. Symptomatic students and close contacts will be provided with an at-home rapid antigen test by their school. All test results should be uploaded to the Daily Pass portal, with a photo of the test kit and the following information written on a separate piece of paper:

  • The individual’s full legal name
  • The individual’s date of birth
  • Test date
  • Individual’s last date on site (if application)
  • Test result (for example, “POSITIVE”)
